BACKGROUND OF DIRECTOR:
She was born in 1962 in Yeşilyurt district of Malatya. She completed her education life in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul. Since 1982, she has worked in various national and international associations and organizations. She started working in Büyükçekmece Municipality in 1987. Between 1987-2007, she held various positions within the Municipality. She was the Turkey Representative for FİDAF, the International Dance Festivals Association. In addition, she has been carrying out her duties as FİDAF European Continent Organization Manager and as a founding member of the International Festivals Association since 2012. She is still working as the Director of Cultural Affairs, to which she was appointed in 2007.

In addition to producing cultural and artistic services that will meet the expectations of our citizens in our district, to contribute to the promotion of our district by organizing activities on an international scale.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Directorate of Cultural Affairs:
- To carry out necessary studies on the development of cultural relations and protection of cultural values in the regions within the scope of the municipality's service area, to ensure the participation of universities, professional and non-governmental organizations and experts in these studies,
- To perform services related to festivals to be organized nationally and internationally,
- To open various courses in order to have people gain profession and skills, to provide service in the cultural and artistic field,
- To conduct publication activities related to the protection and promotion of historical and cultural values within the municipality boundaries,
- To promote traditional Turkish Folk and Turkish Classical Music and various genres of universal music and to bring the people together to create a common urban culture,
- To open educational, cultural and social courses for young people and children, to encourage successful students by rewarding them,
- To create reading corners in all public areas from public libraries to be provided to the public, coffee houses to cafes,
- To provide instructive, social skills development courses for housewives in various fields and to provide study lessons within the scope of EYOP (From Home to School Again) project for those who have left their education but are enrolled in Open Education Secondary School and Open Education High Schools,
- To provide exam-oriented study lessons for children in addition to computer and foreign language courses opened within the scope of adult education,
- To work on opening cultural centers,
- To provide all kinds of home care and rehabilitation services for children, the elderly, disabled and orphans,
- To organize competitions and seminars in the fields of culture, education and arts,
- To cooperate with the District Directorate of National Education, the District Public Education Center and all educational institutions in the region in social and cultural activities,
- To prepare books, brochures, magazines, posters etc. on various subjects aimed at contributing to cultural life, to ensure these printed materials are available for the public,
- To organize conferences, panels, seminars and exhibitions in order to increase the cultural wealth of the district.
